In 2015, director Lenny Abrahamson brought Emma Donoghue's novel, Room, to the big screen. The story of a young boy entrapped and raised in a single room his entire life along with his mother resonated with critics and audiences alike through the performances of Jacob Tremblay and Brie Larsen respectively, and landing the latter her Academy Award.
