A veteran of the southern electronic dance scene, Poobah has a treat for us tonight: TECHNO To quote Outkast. "Its that southerplayalisticcaddilac funky music Now Players if you choose it You better make sure you don't abuse it " An hour of dirty south techno that pulls from crunk to funk to blazing detroit love. "I have 3 releases on Aerotecnica recordings and releases under the Daydream outfit which are both based in Atlanta. I started dj'ing in 1993. Brian Wills (Hippy B) and Jeff Carey (Mr. Scarey), from the Madhouse Atlanta, were my mentors and really the best teachers that anyone could ask for. My style has evolved over the years from trance to breakbeat amd drum and bass to house to techno. Moby's "Next is the E" is the record that changed my life and is what got me interested in techno. I've met alot of amazing people over the years and heard some really great music. I've also been able to meet alot of my heroes too, like Moby, Orbital and Juan Atkins. Thanks for listening to my mix/ I also want to say thanks to Eve for letting me be on the show." : )
