The Daily Mess The Disaster Artist

In a million years I would've never thought that this Disaster Artist of a dog would become such an incredible part of my chapters. Nobody knows the real story of the dogs and cats trapped inside cages at the shelter. We don't know how they got there, what they're thinking, how they are struggling to locate their own space and or what their past humans did to them before they arrived. In March of 2018 Jazzie was invited to our home. To which she totally destroyed our first night away. I've shared many conversations with the Dog Whisper Cesar Millan. Other trainers wouldn't go anywhere near our story claiming her weakness wasn't bad dog syndrome but she wanted to be with her humans. She wasn't destroying the house out of anger, Jazzie was trying to get to us. She only destroyed where she saw us disappear. Taking the time to get to know Jazzie meant learning more about myself. There was no way she was going to be dumped again. Cesar shared so many incredible tips by way of educating me first not her. Jazzie and I have built such an unstoppable bond. Never once has she been reprimanded for something that others might see as wrong. I've been known to stop our daily walks and sit on the ground beside her very calmly asking, "Is this your way of saying you want our walk to be over right now? If not, then I need you to work with me. I'm here for you and believe the best part of my day is our walk. But we need to work together." And off we go without anymore trouble. Listening to her means listening to me. I think the same is true about the people we surround ourselves with at work and home. Rather than instantly reacting. Listen first.
