It's a modern day game of playing Telephone. How we interpret the news is the everchanging headline. I use a quote from Senator Liz Chaney as an example. The story starts off with what I heard versus the physical words she delivered. By releasing my thoughts more than actuality the story begins to bend. The way we receive today's news isn't quite like the precise way it was shared decades before we got here. There's a lot of opinion and interesting interpretations. For many of us, that's how we get our news. Not fact but the way it was interpreted.
