For the last year, while the world dealt with the pandemic, comedienne Judy Tenuta, best known to fans as "The Love Goddess" and "Aphrodite of the Accordion," has been battling stage 4 ovarian cancer and, or as she puts it in her recent viral video, is "Kicking Cancer's Ass," shot entirely during isolation and quarantine at home.
Intended as a much needed creative outlet during the pandemic, while letting family, friends and fans know that she was winning the battle and had no intention of giving up the fight, the video has gone on to receive numerous accolades and become an unexpected battle cry for those who are experiencing not only cancer, but other health issues, including covid.
