It’s going to be a long winter hunkered down inside. The new streaming service discovery+ will have a huge library of content for everyone ready to binge when the service launches on Monday, January 4, 2021. New shows, old shows and nearly 3,000 episodes of paranormal programming.

New programming begins with the two hour documentary Amityville Horror House - the scary true story of the all-American family that moves into their dream house and experiences the most terrifying demonic haunting imaginable. A situation so dire even the Church couldn’t help them. Through archival footage and recreations, our film presents the harrowing true story of the Amityville house and the 28 days the Lutz family lived in the house.

Jason Hawes is the founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society and host of Ghost Nation. He also hosts a new series on Travel Channel called Most Terrifying with Jason Hawes. Each new hour episode uncovers the world's most horrifying haunts. He reveals the gravest of locations through spine-chilling firsthand accounts, eerie re-enactments and eye-opening interviews with locals and historians.

Hawes can also discuss how all your favorite shows are coming to discovery+. The “Paranormal and The Unexplained” genre hub on discovery+ will launch with nearly 3,000 episodes of paranormal programming in its extensive library, establishing the largest collection of paranormal content available to users anywhere in the world. At launch, the platform will have just over 100 series under its “Paranormal & The Unknown” banner, 98 of which will be available to binge from the beginning.

What does this mean to fans of the genre? Every episode of “Ghost Adventures,” “The Dead Files,” “Paranormal Caught on Camera,” “Destination Fear,” “Ghost Nation,” “Portals to Hell,” and more, will be available for streaming on Day One. Also, discovery+ has searched out the most popular content found across the television spectrum; and subscribers will be able to stream additional A&E hit titles including “Ghost Hunters”, for which Hawes was a star of, and “Ancient Aliens.”
