The album is a classic example of “A Covid Project.” Drummer Extraordinaire/ composer/ producer Carmine Appice (the musician who never sleeps…) and hot LA Session multi-instrumentalist/ guitar virtuoso Fernando Perdomo (featured prominently in the Netflix popular documentary ECHO IN THE CANYON and who recently released the TRIBUTE TO PAUL McCARTNEY’S RAM album) didn’t even know each other just before the album was made. They were introduced online via the family of famed producer Tom Dowd. They started exchanging recorded tracks and 9 months later they had written and recorded a complete instrumental album, ENERGY OVERLOAD. A world-wide deal with Cleopatra Records followed soon after, and now the duo is looking at doing live shows and a 2nd album (with or without vocals).
