On August 3, 1977, The Steve Miller Band delivered a smoking concert at the Capitol Centre in Landover, Maryland. At the time, they were riding high on two new smash albums, Fly Like an Eagle and Book of Dreams, as well as previous hits like "The Joker" and "Living in the U.S.A." This concert was filmed and recorded, and Steve discovered it in his archives during lockdown last year.



On May 14th, 2021, Steve Miller, through Sailor/Capitol/UME, will release Breaking Ground - August 3, 1977 in its entirety. This one-hour special features live hits and an exclusive new interview with Steve, who takes you behind-the-scenes, telling stories about the songs and what was happening as the band graduated from theaters to arena to stadiums.
