“I want to take it (my music career) as far as I can”, says singer Sarah Moon. Charismatic, riveting, and commanding are a just a few terms that describe what she brings as singer and performer. While paying respectful homage to a few of her influences including Etta James, Chris Cornell, classic rock and old school blues, her voice and style with hints of classic rock are all her own and she drives home point all the way home on her new record, "Cut & Run". Growing up in a household where her parents worked in live music production, music has always been, in some form or fashion, a big part of what Sarah is about. Call it fate or maybe the subliminal effect of hearing her mother singing around the house, Sarah began singing as a child and landed a gig with the Rapid City Children’s Chorus. She then received classical training and continued her musical journey recording music and regularly gigging at venues in Oregon and Canada. Sarah is ready to make a statement with her latest recording and bring her music to the world. Moon assembled an all star team of sorts to bring her musical vision into fruition. Along with her powerful and unique voice, the record features talented writing partner, guitarist, backing vocalist and co-producer Brandon Cook, co-producer keyboardist and percussionist Andy Korn, hard hitting drummer Kyle Baltus, bassist Allen Huter and features guest appearances by Jean-Pierre Garau on keys, The Davis Sisters on vocals, with Lewis Dragulin and Jon Van Cula adding horns to the fold. As if there wasn’t already enough talent in the building for the recording session already, it was engineered by #1 Billboard charting San Francisco producer Jaimeson Durr, who has worked with Sammy Hagar, Train and members of The Grateful Dead. The record was tracked at The Hallowed Halls recording studio in Portland Oregon.
