“Ice Airport Alaska” chronicles the day-to-day struggles and triumphs of the all-weather heroes at Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska. These heroes keep the airport open and freight and passengers flowing during all weather conditions. From snow clearing and de-icing, to freight unloading and refueling to VIPs, oil workers and tourists – this is the untold story of the airport that never freezes.

The series introduces us to a dedicated Wildlife Management Team whose sole job is keeping wildlife and planes from running into each other, a control tower landing 50 planes in two hours in unpredictable ice storm conditions, and one of the top US engineer & maintenance teams attempt to replace an entire engine in 12 hours, with hundreds of thousands of dollars and lives on the line.
