Carbonstone's Corey James Talks About Creating Dark Matter

Industrial alternative metal band Carbonstone has a special sound of its own. Heavy guitar riffs cut deep while soaring over thunderous electronic drum beats. Distorted bass guitars lock in the low end while dark, yet catchy vocal hooks lead the band's full on audio assault to listeners' ears.

Carbonstone recently dropped its first single "AM Trauma." Vocalist Corey James says, "The initial creation/inspiration for the song happened in the cold, early morning hours of March of this year. I woke up out of a dead sleep with the main hook riff blasting repeatedly in my head. It felt as if it was screaming at me. I didn’t want to chance falling back asleep and losing it! I jumped out of bed, ran out into the living room, grabbed a guitar and recorded the riff with my cell phone. Still being half asleep, I titled and saved it as 'AM Trauma.' I still have the actual recording In my phone!"
