Greg Aiello grew up in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, near Yosemite National Park. At an early age, he went to work in television as a writer and producer for local affiliates.

After winning three Emmy Awards, Greg decided to nurture his deepest passion \u2013his love for the outdoors. He left television to become a professional mountain guide, specializing in long duration backpacking trips, mountaineering and new trip development for outfitters like REI.

Greg is best known for his roles as the host of ABC\u2019s \u201cMotion" and PBS's \u201cOutside with Greg Aiello.\u201d
