Beyond the Horizon 2018 - El Salvador: Mission Accomplished

Two minute video shows United States service members working alongside El Salvadoran defense forces during the Beyond the Horizon Exercise -2018. United States Active Duty, Reserve and Guard service members from across the nation, worked alongside El Salvadoran military personnel during the Humanitarian/Training exercise Beyond the Horizon 2018 - El Salvador. During the exercise, service sembers conducted Medical Readiness Training Exercises (MEDRETEs - pronounced Med-Rets) in the municipality of Zacatecoluca (pronounced Za-kah-te-co-lou-kah) providing medical services to the citizens of El Salvador including; optometry, dental, pediatric, women's health and pharmaceutical care. Construction projects included building two schools from-the-ground-up plus extensions to two existing schools and to the Zacatecoluca Health Clinic in the county of La Paz. BTH is an annual U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) mission, being led this year by the Puerto Rico National Guard's Combined Joint Task Force Hope.
