Reading from Genesis 32:22-32 (NLT) ~ Jacob Wrestles with God ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion. Years of walking in the hope of God’s promise, but not fully trusting God, comes to a head in a face-to-face wrestling match in which Jacob is victorious but walks away injured and blessed by God. Jacob’s fear standing in the way of fully trusting God to be his own and being able to not just walk out his faith but live in faith. Jacob wanting to take the blessing and control the one who blesses.
