b'We managed our biggest divide this week, as\\xa0Beauty and the Beast\\xa0somehow pulled us in wildly different directions.\\n\\nIt was never going to change how many people hit this one in theaters, but Shane just wasn\\u2019t won over. Though we both appreciated\\xa0Emma Watson\\xa0in the role, I found a lot more to like about the effort. We did agree that the \\u201cBe Our Guest\\u201d scene was something of a misfire, going full Wonka in the middle of a film where that didn\\u2019t fit at all.\\n\\nKong: Skull Island, on the other hand, didn\\u2019t impress either of us. There\\u2019s nothing with a good monster movie, though I\\u2019m not sure that it\\u2019s a genre that needs to continue, but this one seemed to have little idea what it was doing. At times, it felt as though 20-minute chunks were directed by different people who were all in the dark about what else was being filmed.'
