In every religion and culture feeding the poor and hungry is considered one of the noblest deeds. In this podcast, Dr. Rajvanshi talks about the idea of Rural Restaurants which can change the lives of the rural poor. The best way to provide adequate food for the rural poor is by setting up restaurants in villages on a large scale. These restaurants will be like regular ones but for people below the poverty line, they will provide meals at subsidized rates via the Aadhaar Card. Dr. Rajvanshi shows how it can be done. The article on which this podcast is based was written almost 7 years ago and it led to the creation of Amma kitchens in Tamilnadu and similar efforts in other states.
