Speaking of Rumors & Gossip (Pt 1)

b'I abhor rumors and gossip. They\'re petty, destructive, and hateful. Yet, truth-be-told, I have engaged in gossip from time-to-time. I\'m not proud of it, just honest. People who engage in gossip (whether it\'s initiating it, listening to it, or sharing it) relish the feeling of power and importance it momentarily affords them. Some do so out of revenge; some are bored and seeking excitement in their lives. There are distinct differences between rumors and gossip as well as similarities. And while sometimes rumors can be innocent and harmless, more often than not, they are intended to cause serious distress and damage to those involved.
