Candace Apple is founder and owner of Phoenix & Dragon Bookstore, Books and Gifts Celebrating the Human Spirit. She has been serving the community for 30 years providing an oasis of calm in a hectic world, inviting customers to discover their spiritual paths, explore methods of personal growth, learn complementary methods for wellness and holistic health through a combination of books, author events and experiential workshops. Her passion is encouraging people to explore their creative expression through Poetry Open Mic Night and her Fairy House Construction classes. Ever since she was 4 years old she has loved to "play with rocks" and it is her delight to introduce people to the unique vibrations and beauty of the mineral kingdom through both mineral specimens and a wide array of tumbled pocket stones. When not at the store, you might find her at the Decature Book Festival, off at Crystal shows, on the dance floor enjoying Cajun music or in New York City having adventures with her three-year-old granddaughter where she remembers the joy of seeing the world through eyes of childlike wonder.
