Welcome to the first episode of Amusing Ourselves to Death! This is a podcast about the art we love and the content we consume. For our debut, we are tackling Season One of HBO's "The Leftovers". We actually went so long on this one, we split it up into two parts. For those aren't familiar, this show debuted on HBO in June of 2014 and asks the question "If 2% the world's population suddenly vanished, would Justin Theroux continue his daily jogging routine?" Turns out the answer is yes. There's far more to discuss but you'll have to listen to the episode. You didn't think, I'd transcribe it all in the show notes, did you? I don't even know if anyone reads these things.
