EMILY MEREDITH is the Chief of Staff at the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) in Arlington, VA.  Her primary responsibilities lie in the areas of strategic planning, organizational oversight and stakeholder outreach. She also oversees the National Dairy FARM ProgramTM, which assures consumers that milk and other products from American dairy farms are the end result of responsible animal care practices.  In supervising the exceptional FARM Program team, she focuses on other education and training modules that are identified as part of the FARM program, and assists in other areas of the regulatory department such as biosecurity and residue avoidance.  The NATIONAL MILK PRODUCERS FEDERATION, established in 1916 and based in Arlington, VA, develops and carries out policies that advance the well-being of dairy producers and the cooperatives they own. NMPF is the voice of more than 32,000 dairy farmers in Washington. The members of NMPF’s cooperatives produce the majority of the U.S. milk supply, making NMPF the voice of dairy producers on Capitol Hill and with government agencies. NMPF provides a forum through which dairy farmers and their cooperatives formulate policy on national issues that affect milk production and marketing. This helps to improve the economic well being of dairy farmers and assure the nation's consumers an adequate supply of pure, wholesome milk and dairy products. However, policy is just one area of the U.S. dairy industry. NMPF also works with organizations dedicated to other areas of the industry, such as processing, consumer relations, research, trade, and more. Find out more at www.nmpf.org
