b'Read the full episode summary\\nWhen you\\u2019re talking about the future in English, should you use \\u201cwill\\u201d or \\u201cgoing to\\u201d?\\nToday, in #6 of the Top 15 Fixes, we discuss the correct way to tell others what you want to do, whether in the immediate future or many years from now!\\n\\xa0\\n"Will" and "going to"\\xa0are interchangeable in meaning, but native English speakers tend to use them for slightly different purposes.\\n\\xa0\\nWill is often used in the context of a big plan or dream, often in the far future:\\n\\nI will get married, eventually.\\n\\n\\u201cSomeday, people will live on Mars.\\u201d\\n\\n\\xa0\\nHowever, Will can also be used if you have just spontaneously made a decision, at this very moment, or for promises:\\n\\n\\u201cMaybe I will go out to lunch.\\u201d\\n\\n\\u201cI will always love you.\\u201d\\n\\n\\xa0\\nGoing to is used for more specific decisions about your immediate future:\\n\\n\\u201cI\\u2019m gonna (going to) go biking tomorrow.\\u201d\\n\\n\\u201cShe\\u2019s going to call later tonight.\\u201d\\n\\nThese rules are general.
