There are some startling statistics when it comes to maternal morbidity and mortality in the United States, especially if you\\u2019re a black woman.

We\\u2019re one of the richest countries in the world, and yet the rates of maternal morbidity and mortality are increasing, rather than decreasing. Pretty shocking, isn\\u2019t it?

You might be asking yourself what I mean when I say maternal morbidity and mortality. And if so, you\\u2019re not alone. A lot of pregnant and postpartum mamas don\\u2019t fully understand those terms either.
