We know our purpose is to serve God through an obedient lifestyle.  We can divide that lifestyle into the kind of people we are to be and the kind of tasks we are to pursue.  In Jesus' discourse, He defined the kind of people we are to be: Those who abide in Him (John 15:7-17).  The task He has set for us is disciple making (Mathew 28:18-20).  The Scriptures erase our doubts about what living an obedient lifestyle means: Be disciples, make disciples.
