PS: I re-recorded week 1 cause last week was so awful, and I'm releasing this the same day as the written segment on patreon. Sorry for that bad recording. Won't record on a Thursday again. It's my first day off after a long week of night shifts, and that always leaves me a mess physically and mentally. I wish I didn't need to do it to live but... and I can't help it keeps me down. Like I know I could be a better writer... but my situation doesn't let me reach my potential. It's why poor stay poor and rich stay rich. Anyway... The point is, I'm trying the best I can, I'm all alone, and I'm sorry. PREVIOUSLY ON THE ALDONN CHRONICLES: Frankie was a simple orphan thief who never had a last name, a member of a guild that preyed on people like her, vulnerable people without anyone to look after them. They took her in, and trained her to be amazing at what she does, but they then betrayed her to the guards and had her locked away. It was in prison that she met a strong blonde man by the name of Aldonn, a man without any memory of his past. Together they escaped back to the capitol city of Capsin, where they’ve teamed up with a disgraced guard named Edward, disgraced for sleeping with the King’s daughter Princess Penelope, and they have been working with him to slowly bring down the guild that betrayed Frankie, and stop their power hungry leader Lee with a little help from Frankie’s old guildmates Richter and Sean. Meanwhile King George, ruler of Capsin and the surrounding country of Memroxia , has been getting increasingly frustrated as his kingdom has continued to stagnate. Diplomatic relations have been falling apart, and he’s decided to turn to the wisdom and guidance of the Mage Council. However, Princess Penelope believes the mages have a secret agenda of their own, and that they might not have her father’s best interests at heart. When she learned, alongside Frankie, that Lee was turning his attention to the Mage Council, they both entered the Mage Tower with warnings of an impending attack. Their warnings we’re not taken seriously, except by an apprentice named Calvin. Ordered by his master Elmeiser Ducard to watch the Princess, he instead helped Penelope shut down a sex trafficking ring involving children and love potions, rescuing prisoners that included Leah Ducard, daughter to Calvin’s master and a burgeoning mage in her own right. He also managed to cure Edward and Frankie after they’d been doused by a love potion defending the Mage Council’s shipment from the Thieves Guild. The Thieves Guild hoped to use the shipment to lure out the mages, and capture one that might sneak them into the Mage Tower. When their plan failed, Lee returned to base to find Bart with an alternative. A disgraced mage, Dawson, sole survivor of the gang Penelope brought down, burnt to a crisp in a magic duel with Calvin, offers Lee his services, and the guildleader is now closer to his goal than ever. ----------- My brand is 99% Geek found at 99geek.ca I'm a writer, writing chapters of novels like episodes of TV shows, releasing them in segments weekly on Sundays on my Patreon page at patreon.com/99geek and then the finished monthly chapter is added to the PDF archives attached to every post and turned into an audiobook for my podcast feed at the end of the month. And it's all attached to the bottom of every post on the site in convenient PDF format readable on computers, tablets, ebook readers, and phones. There used to be a weekly blog with TV show rankings and the important news from the week you might have missed, but I was putting a lot into it, and it didn't seem to help build an audience at all... nothing does... so I'm focusing on my writing which is my passion.
