Waking up sometimes never knowing what kind of day it's going to be or how your going to feel. Sometimes sitting around those you love in silence because inside we are battling our ourselves but no one knows what is going on in our minds. Sitting there as a kid never letting anyone know of my feelings... locking myself in my room because there would be times I would never want to be around anyone. I will say I had a great life growing up with some rough moments... I realized I wasn't the smartest person nor the most attractive but I stayed positive growing up. I kept my silence because I didn't want anyone to know inside I battled depression. I had some challenges & there were times where I thought I would give up. Today I still battle depression but I never spoke on it because I was ashamed of what people would of thought. Only a few close friends including my wife knows. It has gotten better over the year's & I have learned to cope with my episodes by doing different activities such as doing radio shows, theatre & other things. I learned recently, that I am no ashamed to say I battle depression. I have friends & family who also battle depression everyday who have more rough moments then me... It's good to speak about your feelings to someone who wants to listen. There are people out there who don't have anyone to listen to their struggle.... I struggle too & I am here to listen. The battle is real & tonight on The Weekly Rundown Radio Show I feel it is important to talk about Depression. I hear stories everyday of youth & young adults taking their lives because of Depression because they have no one to turn to. Last night I went to be thinking this is something that we need to touch on Tonight because it can help save someone's life.
