UCL Advances hosted “Seedcamp” in 2008 and will do so again in 2009. Seedcamp is one of a number of external organisations that UCL has partnered with to create new links with small innovative companies. It is a programme backed by leading venture capital investors to identify the next generation of high-growth technology companies from across Europe. These then attended a week-long development programme at UCL in September 2008. Day1 This video contains highlights of day 1 of the programme: Seedcamp participant companies introduce themselves, including the founders of Bebo, buy.at, Plazes, Jaiku and Last.fm. Speakers include Saul Klein, Index Venture Partners and Marten Mickos, MySQL. Day 2 This video contains highlights of day 2 of the programme: Highlights from the product panel. Martin Varsavsky, Instituto de Empresa Business School, Jazztel and FON and Brent Hoberman, lastminute.com and MyDeco, discuss the impact of the credit crunch.
