Warner Bros. has officially announced that Robert Pattinson is the next Batman. After years of shedding his Twilight image with head-turning roles in indie movies, Pattinson has earned the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) take. Hey, if he\'s good enough to land a lead role in Christopher Nolan\'s next film "Tenet," then he\'s good enough to don the cape and cowl as the Dark Knight. Join us as we talk about what we hope to see in the movie and how we think they could do an "origin story" a little different.

We\'re getting ready for the remake of "Child\'s Play" by looking back at the entire Chucky franchise, including the movie and mythology that started it all. We also break down the new trailer and cast our predictions on what would make the new installment stand alone from those that came before, some of which descended into B-movie territory. With Mark Hamill voicing the iconic murderous doll and a new updated AI theme, this might actually prove to be a solid horror movie.

After promising to see M. Night Shyamalan\'s "Glass" for months, Thiago finally got around to it. We had a lot to debate as temperatures ran high. We discussed our likes and dislikes and what this movie means for the superhero universe Shyamalan has created. Warning: There are spoilers in this episode as well as vulgar Samuel L. Jackson movie quotes. You try not quoting "Snakes on a Plane" or "Pulp Fiction" when bringing up the legendarily foul-mouthed Sam Jackson.

Apple made a huge announcement last week, revealing its new video streaming platform, Apple TV+. Joining them at the unveiling was a roster of A-list talent behind the original movies and TV shows launching with the service in the fall. There's a long history of comedians turning to dramatic movie roles and totally killing it. We wanted to examine this trend and see why it works. What makes a comedian such a damn good actor?\\xa0 From Whoopi Goldberg winning an Oscar to Steve Carell knocking it out of the park in everything he does, there seems to be some significant overlap between comedy and drama. Let's talk about it. \\xa0

It's been reported that Steven Spielberg plans to address the Academy Board of Governors in an effort to change the rules on what may qualify for an Oscar nomination. Specifically, he wants to exclude anything that doesn't have at least a four week run in theaters. This would exclude recent nominees like the Netflix movie Roma and other movies that originate on streaming platforms. So with that being said, we have a lot of arguing to do. We each have opposing views on the subject, and while we do argue, we also engage in a more civil, intellectual debate. In other words, Nick doesn't yell at anybody in this episode.

NOTE: Due to technical difficulties, Nick's mic is distorted for a few seconds in the first 5 minutes of the episode. You can blame Thiago for that.\\xa0

These past couple of years have seen a number of fantastic musicals like The Greatest Showman, Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is Born. So it only seemed appropriate that we do an episode dedicated to some of our favorite movie musicals. We decided to exclude classic animated Disney films like Aladdin and The Lion King because if they were included that's all we'd be talking about. We're talking movies like Grease, The Newsies, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory and Hello Dolly.

When there's somethin' strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call? Jason Reitman! The son of original Ghostbusters' director, Ivan Reitman, announced last week that he's going to be directing an all-new installment in the beloved series of movies, set in the same universe as the 1984 and 1989 films. Naturally, this made our inner nerd do double backflips. For the most part, this news was well received by the internet at large, with a few voicing their dissent. We address it all in this episode, as well as some theories on what we will see in the movie set to be released in summer 2020. With Jason Reitman (who was 6 years old, roaming the set of the original and is the OG Ghostbusters fan) at the helm, they'll be fine. As long as they don't cross the streams.
