Abdullah ibn Masood (ra) Session 49\nIbn Ummi Abd - The Son of The Mother of The Servant \nThe Jurist of This Ummah \nThe Master of The Secrets \n\nIbn Masood (ra) himself states \n'There is no verse from the Quran except that I know whom it was revealed for and where it as sent down' (Bukhari). \n\nIbn Masood (ra) would recite a Surah and spend the rest of the day in its interpretation (Ibn Jareer). \n\nImam Nawawee (rah) states,\nIbn Masood (ra) was even more knowledgeable in the Quran than the Caliphate Rashideen (Sharh Saheeh Muslim). \n\nVerily the Quran is a banquet of Allah SWT thus take as much as you can from the Banquet (Hakim).\nImam Qurtubi (rah), elucidates... The Banquet is a metaphor...\nThe Quran is likend to something that Allah SWT has prepared for mankind and has numerous benefits within it.
