Revision 420: CSS Specifications & VisBug

Published: April 14, 2020, 7 a.m.

This time, again in English, we invited Adam Argyle of Google (take a look at\nhis fancy website and Twitter) to our show to talk about his work especially in\nthe field of CSS specification writing.\n\n\n[00:00:30] SCHAUNOTIZEN\n\nVISBUG\n\nVisBug is a tool for designers and developers which helps you to edit design\nchanges and communicate it in code. This enables designers to handle design\ntesting and fixes on their own on production websites and helps you to give more\nvaluable feedback even if you don\u2019t know how to code. Shameless self promotion:\nTake a look at Warhol if you want to take it a step further and automate design\ntesting.\n\nCSS SPECIFICATIONS\n\nAdam works on a couple of CSS Specifications and drafts for the spec which we\ntalk about. We take a look at what Colors currently can do and what changes are\ncoming up in Colors Module Level 5. Then there is Typed OM which is part of the\nHoudini APIs and we discuss changes that are coming to the default form\ncontrols. To close the discussion we take a quick look at CSS\u2018 future.\n\n\n[00:00:30] KEINE SCHAUNOTIZEN\n\n[00:00:30] THE CSS PODCAST\n\nTogether with Una Kravets, Adam has his own (pretty new) podcast where they\ndiscuss CSS-related topics in depth.
