We discuss the\ndifferent topics of Line Breaking and Vertical Layout for text which were the\ntalks of the both speakers. After some historical background we speak about the\nchallenges the W3C Experts face when writing specifications and how they evolve\nover time.\nBoth Elika and Florian are also members of the W3C Advisory Board. They give us\na short insight in what the board does and how the processes at W3C affect their\nwork.\n\n\nABOUT THE CONFERENCE\n\nIn June 2019 we visited beautiful Amsterdam again to be part of CSS Day 2019\n(with a UI special) taking place at Compagnietheater. CSS Day is organised since\n2013 by Peter-Paul Koch, Krijn Hoetmer, and Martijn van Duuren \u2013 the people\nbehind performance.now(), Mobilism and dsgnday.\n\nThis year\u2019s edition featured great CSS talks going into details of how CSS\nproperties like word-break work and talks about more design focused topics like\nhow we can design better interfaces.\nWe\u2019re sure there will be another CSS Day next year.
