We continue our series on the Christian family by turning our attention to the role of parents with the focus being especially on fathers. In Ephesians 6:4 Paul gives fathers a negative command telling them not to provoke their children to anger and a positive command to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Paul\u2019s instructions reveal the important role that God has given to fathers as well as sins that fathers are prone towards. This sermon will address how fathers follow these commands, how mothers can help fathers obey God\u2019s word and what to do when there is no father.\xa0
