This psalm provides profound insight into how sin can affect us physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. In making our way through this psalm we will be warned of the sorrows that can come from our sin, shown what true repentance looks and sounds like, and pointed to our faithful God who does not forsake us when we sin but disciplines us out of love and for our good. Sin is heavy and lonely, but God is strong and near.
