Hearing and Doing the Word of God

In last week\u2019s sermon on the parable of the sower (or the seed and the soils) Jesus taught about how the word of God is like a seed that brings life and produces fruit. In this week\u2019s sermon passage Jesus teaches us how God\u2019s word is also like a light that reveals the truth and shows us how we are to walk. In doing so, Jesus calls us to hear and to do what God\u2019s word says.
