Divided and Reconciled by Christ and His Cross

Jesus Christ brings peace to all who turn from their sin and trust in him by reconciling his redeemed to God and to one another. But Christ also brings division between those whose hearts bow to the Prince of Peace and those who reject him. In this passage this division and reconciliation are on display as our Lord both prepares his people for one of the most difficult divisions we may experience because of him and calls those who are not yet reconciled to see their need to be reconciled.
