When God calls us to follow Him, he is calling us to something greater than we could ever ask or imagine. Too often, however, we are satisfied by following the call of our own selfish heart. In the call of Elisha we see how God\u2019s call leads to something greater, even though at first it seems to be exactly the opposite. Elisha was a wealthy man, but to be faithful to God\u2019s call he gave up his wealth. Elisha was a man of authority, but he gave up his authority to serve Elijah for 18 years. As Elisha found following the call of God was greater than he could have imagined, every one of us must be faithful to follow the specific call God has given us.
