False teachers on the island of Crete were threatening the young churches. While they professed to know God, they denied him by their works (Titus 1:16) and the apostle Paul instructs Titus to \u201crebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith\u201d (Titus 1:13). We too must be on guard and give careful attention to those we allow to speak into our lives.
