While we only need to enter the waters of baptism one time, the principles carry forward throughout our lives. We all need to be continually reminded that we are a new creation in Jesus Christ, that our sins are forgiven and washed away forever by His shed blood. Jesus not only commanded us to "go and be baptized" but he willingly modeled this privilege as an example to us all.
