Educators: Catherine Ferguson
Catherine Ferguson (1779-1854) was an African-American educator and philanthropist who founded the first Sunday school in New York City. Although illiterate herself, she believed that every child should be educated. \n\nFor those of you tuning in for the first time, welcome!
