This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom The Gospel of John \u2013 35 \u2013 Divine Intercession\xa0\u2013 Daily Wisdom Putnam Church Message \u2013 10/16/2022 The Gospel of John \u2013 Part 4 Confirmation Of The Word \u2013 Divine Intercession \xa0 Today we continue our series on the Good News according to John the Apostle. Last week, Jesus gave us three words that keep us going: Joy, Love, and Peace. In John 16:33, Jesus said, \u201cI have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.\xa0In this world you will have trouble.\xa0But take heart! I have overcome\xa0the world.\u201d Our scripture for today is John 17:1-19, starting on page 1679 in the Pew Bible. Today we will study the Lord\u2019s Prayer as Jesus prays for His glorification and Disciples in a message titled Divine Intercession. Follow along as I read. \xa0Jesus Prays to Be Glorified 17\xa01 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven\xa0and prayed: \u201cFather, the hour has come.\xa0Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.\xa02\xa0For you granted him authority over all people\xa0that he might give eternal life\xa0to all those you have given him.\xa03\xa0Now this is eternal life: that they know you,\xa0the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.\xa04\xa0I have brought you glory\xa0on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.\xa05\xa0And now, Father, glorify me\xa0in your presence with the glory I had with you\xa0before the world began. Jesus Prays for His Disciples 6\xa0\u201cI have revealed you[a]\xa0to those whom you gave me\xa0out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.\xa07\xa0Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.\xa08\xa0For I gave them the words you gave me\xa0and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you,\xa0and they believed that you sent me.\xa09\xa0I pray for them.\xa0I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me,\xa0for they are yours.\xa010\xa0All I have is yours, and all you have is mine.\xa0And glory has come to me through them.\xa011\xa0I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world,\xa0and I am coming to you.\xa0Holy Father, protect them by the power of[b]\xa0your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one\xa0as we are one.\xa012\xa0While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by[c]\xa0that name you gave me. None has been lost\xa0except the one doomed to destruction\xa0so that Scripture would be fulfilled. 13...
