Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2048 of our Trek. Establishing good habits is imperative for living a Godly life and one habit I have practiced nearly every day for the past 45+ years of my adult life is to read the chapter in the book of Proverbs that corresponds to the day of the month. This single habit has been the catalyst for gaining wisdom and creating a living legacy. Adopting this habit can do the same for your life. The realization that God\u2019s Wisdom is the only true wisdom drives me to seek God\u2019s wisdom each day, and there is no better way to do this than to meditate on God\u2019s book of Wisdom. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.\xa0 \xa0Today I will read Proverbs 8.
The Book of Proverbs - Chapter 8

Wisdom Calls for a Hearing

8\xa0Listen as Wisdom calls out!
Hear as understanding raises her voice!
2\xa0On the hilltop along the road,
she takes her stand at the crossroads.
3\xa0By the gates at the entrance to the town,
on the road leading in, she cries aloud,
4\xa0\u201cI call to you, to all of you!
I raise my voice to all people.
5\xa0You simple people, use good judgment.
You foolish people, show some understanding.
6\xa0Listen to me! For I have important things to tell you.
Everything I say is right,
7\xa0for I speak the truth
and detest every kind of deception.
8\xa0My advice is wholesome.
There is nothing devious or crooked in it.
9\xa0My words are plain to anyone with understanding,
clear to those with knowledge.
10\xa0Choose my instruction rather than silver,
and knowledge rather than pure gold.
11\xa0For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies.
Nothing you desire can compare with it.

12\xa0\u201cI, Wisdom, live together with good judgment.
I know where to discover knowledge and discernment.
13\xa0All who fear the\xa0Lord\xa0will hate evil.
Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance,
corruption and perverse speech.
14\xa0Common sense and success belong to me.
Insight and strength are mine.
15\xa0Because of me, kings reign,
and rulers make just decrees.
16\xa0Rulers lead with my help,
and nobles make righteous judgments.[a]

17\xa0\u201cI love all who love me.
Those who search will surely find me.
18\xa0I have riches and honor,
as well as enduring wealth and justice.
19\xa0My gifts are better than gold, even the purest gold,
my wages better than sterling silver!
20\xa0I walk in righteousness,
in paths of justice.
21\xa0Those who love me inherit wealth.
I will fill their treasuries.
