Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1945 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from C.S. Lewis, and it is: All that is not eternal is eternally out of date.
All That Is Eternal

As finite beings, getting our minds around the concept of eternity is difficult, but that doesn’t make it any less true. We are created as God’s imagers, so we have a definitive starting point but no expiration date. We will live eternally either abiding with God if we choose to accept Him, or eternally separated from God if we reject Him. That is why our everyday lives must impact people for eternity. While we cannot take our riches or material resources with us when we die, we can impact all of eternity by assisting those seeking to become citizens of God’s kingdom. What we say to others, how we treat others, and how we conduct our daily lives is the strongest motivating factor in people seeing that we are ambassadors for Christ because we accepted His work on the cross. Those we impact for eternity can be our children, grandchildren, other family members, and those we work with or socialize with. We have no clue how wonderful eternity will be, but we no it will be awesome. So impact eternity today. Otherwise, you will be out of date and have missed an opportunity to build God’s kingdom.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%202%3A8%2D10andversion=NLT (1 Corinthians 2:8-10)

But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”

But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’
