Aim High – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1916 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.
Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Barry Wishner, and it is: Aim so high you’ll never be bored.
Aim High
While children will frequently verbally declare that they are bored, I find that many adults live a life of boredom. Boredom is a state of mind. No one is forced to be bored; boredom is a choice. There is so much in life that we can experience, and it does not take financial resources to live a life fully. Taking a walk in nature, exercising, reading a good book from a library, laying out under the stars, watching children play, playing games yourself, working on a puzzle, woodworking, quilting, cross-stitching, music, and the list could go on and on. In addition, you can volunteer, help those less fortunate, visit the elderly, or do any activity that gets you out of your head and put your efforts into helping others. The higher your aim, the less possibility of you being bored. There is no excuse for boredom, do whatever you can to benefit and enhance the lives of others, and you will find your life is whole and prosperous.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2011%3A25andversion=NLT (Proverbs 11:25)
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
