Make Wise Decisions – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1871 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from a Chinese Proverb, and it is: A wise man makes his own decisions, an ignorant man follows public opinion.
Make Wise Decisions

I don’t believe it has been ever more evident than today with 24/7 always-on news and the endless stream of social media posts that the masses are being led down a path of misinformation and fake news. This misinformation is prevalent with all types of media outlets, from ultra-liberal to ultra-conservative. Logically thinking for ourselves and making wise decisions seems to be a fading character trait of most people. The conclusion appears that we are losing a large segment of people who are truly wise and capable of lining up their worldview with God’s Word. We must keep God’s Word in our lives as a compass to navigate us through the tidal waves of fake news. If you think that fake news only comes from one side of the political spectrum, think again. The extensive media outlets are driven by revenue and profits, and they warp their information to fit the audience that will drive the most revenue. Don’t be misled, but instead, invest time daily reading, absorbing, and studying God’s Word so that you will have a Biblical worldview. With this Biblical worldview, you can make wise decisions and determine if what you hear or read aligns with the truth found in God’s Word.

Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.

Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them.

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’
