Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1819 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Croft M. Pentz, and it is: A person worth following is a follower of Christ.
A Person Worth Following

We need to be very careful about who we follow and who influences our lives. As Christ-followers, we need to follow those who are followers of Christ themselves. The worldviews that we are forming are shaped by those we emulate. If we imitate someone whose lives are not fully grounded in God’s Word, our worldview will become skewed and we will get off the path we should be following. We all have 168 hours per week; how we invest that time will determine the return on that investment. If we follow a person without the proper worldview, we will lose the return on our investment. First, we must know and follow God’s precepts, and then we need to make sure those who are mentoring us are also grounded in God’s Word. To do anything less is putting us in danger of failing in our spiritual walk.

Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”

As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’
