Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1765 of our Trek, and it\u2019s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today\u2019s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today\u2019s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let\u2019s jump right in with today\u2019s nugget:

Today\u2019s quote is from C.S. Lewis, and it is: A man can\u2019t always be defending the truth; there must be a time to feed on it.
Feed On Truth

While we have a mandate and obligation to defend the truth, we have to understand that if we don\u2019t intimately know that same truth, there is no way for us to defend it adequately. Therefore, you must continually feed on that truth so that it will be second nature to you when it is time to defend it. It will be like breathing or your heart beating. When your life is marinated with God\u2019s truth, it will seep from your pores at the slightest contact with that which is false. When you boil it all down, though, the truths found in God\u2019s Word will defend themselves. Therefore, your responsibility is to know the truth well enough that when you speak God\u2019s Word, it will be sufficient. So focus on feeding on the truth so that it will defend itself.



Ephesians 6:10-18

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God\u2019s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Therefore, put on every piece of God\u2019s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God\u2019s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
