Welcome to Day 1675 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomFinding Your Purpose – Daily WisdomWelcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! We are on Day 1675 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from John Maxwell, and it is: A difficult time can be more readily endured if we retain the conviction that our existence holds a purpose — a cause to pursue, a person to love, a goal to achieve.
Finding Your Purpose
I believe all of us have asked and maybe even continue to ask about our purpose in life. Sometimes life seems somewhat futile, or as King Solomon wrote in https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ecclesiastes+1%3A2andversion=NLT (Ecclesiastes 1:2), “Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless!” If this is our thinking, then yes, life will seem difficult. We can take comfort in knowing that God is in control. Therefore, He has a greater purpose for our lives than we can ever hope or imagine. If we retain that conviction, we will find purpose in causes that we pursue, persons we love, and goals that we strive to achieve. We cannot lose sight that God does have a divine purpose for each person. We are His imagers, and because of that, our primary purpose is to image Him. Our purpose will be manifested through our vocation, our family life, and our recreation. So when you find that life is difficult, or you are struggling with finding your purpose, stay focused on those you love, the causes that are meaningful to you, and the goals you would like to achieve. When you do this, you will also find your purpose.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
