Today\u2019s quote is from \xa0Jewish refugee, World War II, Poland, and it is: \xa0\xa0I believe in the sun, even when it isn\u2019t shining.\xa0I believe in love, even when I am alone.\xa0I believe in God, even when He is silent.\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0\xa0
I BelieveIn order to function and remain sane in a world of ever-increasing chaos requires that we are grounded in a belief system that is grounded in something, or someone that has complete control over every situation we face in life.\xa0When you wake up in the morning, and it is cloudy or stormy out, do you think that the sun has completely vanished?\xa0Do you believe that you will never see the sun again?\xa0Of course not, you know that it is only a temporary and needed situation for life to be sustained on earth. You have faith that someday in the not too distant future that the sun will shine brightly once again. When you are alone or lonely, do you believe that you will never be loved again in your lifetime?\xa0The first principle of love is that you must love yourself properly before you can love others properly.\xa0When you love others, then, in turn, they will love you. Even when you are alone, you believe that, indeed, you will feel the love of others soon.\xa0When it appears that God is silent in your life, and not providing peace and guidance, you must believe that He has a purpose for this season of silence.\xa0It may be that you are holding onto that which cannot provide safety and security in your life.\xa0We are told in Hebrews 13:5 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%2013%3A5&version=NLT). Don\u2019t love money; be satisfied with what\xa0you\xa0have. For God has said, \u201cI will\xa0never\xa0fail\xa0you. I will\xa0never\xa0abandon\xa0you.\u201d
When you cannot see the sun, or feel the love of others, or when God is silent, you must turn to God in faith.\xa0It is then that our vision becomes clear, and we can be at peace and understand those difficult times in life.

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.\xa0\xa0Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. \xa0By faith, we understand that the entire universe was formed at God\u2019s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
