This is Dr. MaryAnn Diorio, novelist and life coach, welcoming you to another episode of Winning with the Word. Today is Monday, July 19, 2021, and this is Episode #24 of Series 2021. This episode is titled “Have We Reached the End?" _______________________________ The world has gone crazy. Everywhere I turn, people are calling good, evil, and evil, good. Violence abounds as people disregard the law because they know they will not be punished for doing so. Police authority is almost non-existent, while retail stores are closing because of the incredible looting taking place. But I'm not surprised. Why not? Because Jesus predicted this very thing would happen shortly before He returns to earth to remove His followers. Listen to what He said in Matthew 24: 3-8:  "While Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. 'Tell us,' they said, 'when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?'Jesus answered, 'See to it that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, claiming, "I am the Christ," and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.'" Sad to say, most people aren't paying attention to the warnings of Jesus. In fact, most people are clueless that such warnings even exist. Yet, the warnings of Christ have a major implication for your life. Yes, YOUR life. You ignore them at your own peril. And I don't mean just peril on this earth. I mean peril after you die. For, you see, Christ's warnings have everything to do with what happens to you after you die. And yes, as much as you hate to think about it, one day you will die. And at that moment, you'll be so glad you listened to what I am about to tell you. You see, world events are converging just as the Bible said they would. The Bible predicts that Russia, Turkey, and Iran will form a coalition and invade Israel. Guess what? Russia, Turkey, and Iran recently formed a coalition with the purpose of conquering Israel. The Bible predicts that people will not be able to think straight shortly before Jesus returns. Well, guess what? People are no longer thinking straight. They can't tell the difference between a man and a woman. They think that killing babies in abortion is okay. They have no problem lying, stealing, and cheating to get ahead.  The Bible predicts that there would be an increase in the number and in the intensity of earthquakes shortly before Jesus returns. Guess what? We have witnessed an extraordinarily high number of earthquakes throughout the world, many in areas where there have been no known earthquakes. And the intensity of these earthquakes has also been increasing. The Bible predicts that there would be famines, droughts, and pestilence before Jesus returns. Guess what? We are seeing droughts in the United States like never before.
