  1. Where in your life do you most long to see Jesus? Where in your life do you feel most lonely or abandoned in the face of what seems like the silence of Jesus?
  2. What leaves you unsettled about church these days? What are your fears for the church? What is your own relationship and commitment to being a part of the church or a church?
  3. What pulls do you feel toward a better or more perfect church that might actually turn out to be mirages or worse, idolatries?
  4. What might Jesus be saying to us and to the church today? Where might he be found?
  5. What is the promise for those who take up their cross and follow Jesus, even into dying to themselves?
  6. How will you die to yourself today and in this week ahead?\xa0 What within you needs to die?\xa0 And, where do you suspect the new and fruitful life of Jesus might be found on the other side?
