This week from the belfry, up to "bat" is a legendary classic film deep from the pits of Carfax Abbey. No CGI in sight, no gore to be found. Only a chilling story told with some of the best performances from the early 1930s. Directed by Tod Browning (Freaks) and starring Bela Lugosi (White Zombie), where the Universal Studios Monster Mayhem all began: 1931's DRACULA. Also this week, PostMortem looks at the origins of vampires in literature and film, and gives a brief opinion on the Marvel movie BLACK WIDOW. Summer heat, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE going to Netflix, and jabs at media reporting. What more could you ask for at the friendly neighbourhood Podcast Zero show? (Fake bats on strings not included.)
